The Perfect Saturday on Hilton Head Island
There’s something magical about waking up on Hilton Head Island on a Saturday morning. The salty air, the sound of waves rolling in, and that golden Lowcountry sunrise set the tone for a day that feels equal parts restorative and indulgent.
If you’re planning the perfect Saturday itinerary, here’s how to spend it- starting with beach Pilates.
8:00 AM - Beach Pilates with HHI Pilates Club
Start your day grounded with beach Pilates led by Lexi Hartman and HHI Pilates Club.
The slight instability of the sand beneath us engages your core more deeply, while the ocean breeze keeps you cool and focused. Expect intentional movement, breathwork, and full-body strengthening with the beach as your backdrop.
It’s the kind of workout that feels like self-care, not obligation.
Pro tip: Bring water, sunscreen, and your own mat or towel. Stay a few minutes after class to walk the shoreline for the perfect cool down.
9:00 AM - Coffee & Breakfast
After class, it’s time to refuel. Head to a local cafe for a relaxed coastal breakfast. Think fresh fruit, avocado toast, eggs, or a perfectly crafted latte. Two of my favorites right by Coligny Beach are Sweet Al’s and Carolina Coffee and Crumbs.
Sit outside if you can, the morning light on the island is unbeatable.
11:00 AM - Beach Time or Bike Ride
Hilton Head is famous for its beaches for a reason. Rent a cruiser and ride along the shoreline, or stretch out with a book and let the post-Pilates glow sink in.
If you’re feeling adventurous, explore shaded bike paths that wind through our beautiful wildlife and scenic neighborhoods.
2:00 PM – Sunny Relaxation
After a productive morning, slow the pace. Spend your afternoon poolside or take a refreshing dip in the ocean. This is your time to unwind - no schedule, no rush.
Hydrate, snack, nap. Repeat as needed.
6:00 PM - Sunset & Seafood Dinner
End your Saturday the Hilton Head way with a waterfront sunset and fresh seafood.
Coast and Quarter Deck are two of my favorite waterfront dinner spots both located in Sea Pines. Food, views, and vibes are top notch at both- get a reservation if you can. Reflect on your day with your favorite people and how good it feels to move your body, breathe deeply, and fully unplug.
